The elevators are in the same basic status: North end Elevator was down on Monday, October 27, and Tuesday, October 28, but was ack up on Wednesday, October 29, 2008.
South end elevator is still down. We were told that this elevator would be up and running this week but it's still down and we have been given a new compleation date.
They are working on the Fire Alarm System, but they are still missing parts at this time. No date on when it will be finished.
Everyone on the Island is having the same problem as we are having with gettig materials to repair.
We still do not have an "opening date" at this time.
Sorry for our delay in updating the site however Hurricane Ike rendered the ICS Management Corporate office without power from September 10th until the first week of October.
As to the property, ICS Management is working on finalizing the insurance settlement and Paramount Reconstruction has been working steadily on the property’s repairs. Unfortunately, with Hurricane Ike hitting the Texas Coast only a month after Hurricane Dolly, this has caused some delays on reconstruction. One reason being is the demand for materials has greatly increased. Due to the uncertainty of these matters, ICS is currently unsure of an opening date for the property. Please check back periodically for updates on this matter.

Hurray, AT&T finally showed up and installed a single phone line today at Inverness at South Padre. The new phone number is 956-772-1239. This phone number does not roll over to another line, it is a one line only. We know everyone is going to want to talk to the Inverness staff but remember when dialing this new phone number, if you get a busy signal you will need to continue calling back until the line opens up, it is just a single line. You still have the option of calling the ICS Management Corporate Office at 713-378-6447, ext#0 for the operator and she will forward your call to the appropriate person.
The next update will be Wednesday, August 20, 2008.
Friday, August 15, 2008
The Insurance Adjusters have completed their "walk thru" of the resort. We are now waiting for the final estimate which should take about 4 - 5 business days. We are working with the telephone company to try and get two direct lines to the office at Inverness at South Padre but the telephone company is so back-logged that they keep delaying our installation. We are hoping by early next week to have these two lines in the office. Until next week, you can call the ICS Management Corporate Office at 713-378-6447, ext#0 for the operator and she will direct your call to the appropriate person.
The property is still closed up to and through the September 13th, 2008 check-ins which means reservations through that date are cancelled.
The next update will be Monday, August 18, 2008 in the evening.
Wednesday, August 13, 2008
Basically the resort is still in the same condition as it was on Monday, August 11, 2008. Once the Insurance adjusters finish walking the property we will notify you.
The next update will be Friday, August 15, 2008 in the evening.
Monday, August 11, 2008
As of today, the Insurance Adjuster's are still walking the property. The property will be closed through the September 13, 2008 check-in. This means that any reservation through and including reservations for September 13, 2008 check-in cannot be honored. Once we finish the Insurance process, we can then repair the property and open for owners/guests. The phone system at Inverness at South Padre no longer works. You can email any questions you have to:
kreyna@icsmanagement.net, dsansom@icsmanagement.net
jsansom@icsmanagement.net or bobbyeb@icsmanagement.net
or call the ICS Corporate Office at 713-378-6447, ext#0 and the operator will forward your call to the appropriate person. The next update will be Wednesday, evening, August 13, 2008.
Thursday, August 07, 2008
The Insurance Adjuster has advised us that he will need until the middle to the end of next week to finish his “walk through”. At this time, we are still closed through the 8/16/08 check-in dates.
The next update will be on Monday, August 11, 2008 in the evening.
Wednesday, August 06, 2008
The Insurance Adjuster is walking the property this week. The property, as of today’s update, will remain closed through the August 16, 2008 check in dates. There is one, barely, working elevator that is on the North-side of the building. We are anticipating this elevator working to full capacity by the end of this week.
No decision has been made regarding usage or re-assigning usage at this time.
Wednesday, July 30, 2008
We are still in the "drying out" stage. We are canceling reservations for the timeshare units for August 9 and 16, 2008. The timeshare owners that are affected by these check-in dates will be getting personal calls from the ICS Management Corporate Office starting on Thursday, July 31, 2008. At this time our first priority is to secure the Inverness at South Padre building. Once we are secured with all the "drying out" processand the repairs to the structure, we will then have the time to review and report the status on cancelled reservations due to Hurricane Dolly.
Tuesday, July 29, 2008
The electricity has been restored to the island today. Although this is good news, this does not mean that we can automatically turn on the electricity at the Inverness at South Padre Resort. We are still “drying out” the property and assessing the full damage produced by Hurricane Dolly. For the timeshare units, all the carpet in the bedrooms has been pulled up and placed outside the unit. The carpet will have to be replaced. The property will still be closed for the August 2, 2008 check-ins.
Friday, July 25, 2008:
As of today’s assessment of the Inverness at South Padre Resort, the resort, will be closed for the next three weeks affecting the check-in dates of: July 26, August 2, and August 9, 2008
If you have a reservation for these three weeks at Inverness at South Padre you will need to make other arrangements due to this closure.
So far the Review Team has discovered the laundry room is totally gone and visually you can see missing siding parts and broken glass around the building. There is still no water or electricity at the property or on the island.
The Review Team is walking the property unit by unit, room by room checking each and every item from dishes to furniture and walls to carpet. This is a slow process and we may not know the total damage for a while.
7/24/2008
Hurricane Dolly came on shore at South Padre Island yesterday. The island and the Inverness at South Padre resort are closed. The only people allowed to cross the causeway are the people listed on the emergency personnel list. Tom Gray, CEO of ICS Management will be driving down to the island today and he and Phil Leach will be assessing the damage to the Inverness at South Padre project as well as her sister resort, Galleon Bay. All reservations for our owners as well as RCI guests for 7/26/08 have been cancelled. There is no water or electricity on the island and there is no date posted at this time when we will have either one of these necessities. We will continue to update you as we receive updates.
